Why We Do It
Tran Van Hung was born in But Son, Thanh Son, Kim Bang, Ha Nam. He was in an unexpected accident that left him with paralyzed legs. His daily life is fully depent on his wife and family members. For the past 10 years, he has not even been able to afford to own a wheelchair. His dream was to have a wheelchair to move himself around. Since the accident, he was no longer the breadwinner, relying on his wife to supply their family needs. Every burden of their daily life is now cast on his wife’s shoulders as she has to work very hard to raise their 3 little children. Life is very hard.
In the moment he received a free Trinity Cart, his eyes were full of tears. His dream came true! He now can move easily by himself. It even gives him a new hope and new joy that he can aslo help his wife to do work around their house.. |
Dinh Dai Duong was born in 2000 in Hong Son, Thanh Son, Kim Bang, Ha Nam province. He was born paralyzed in both legs. His family made a lot of effort to help him but it did not work. They were so poor that his parents had to leave Duong at home with his grandparents while they left for another province to earn a living. For a long time, his old grandparents had to carrry him on their backs for moving around or personal hygiene.
Many times, they sent requests for a wheelchair to the Red Cross Charity Organization, but there was not any available chair until now. Now that he has received his new Trinity Cart, you can see the happiness etched on his face. He was so excited and so was his grandma. She said: “Now Duong is growing up, and he is quite heavy so we can not carry him on our backs all the time. Duong can go to the neighborhood himself.” Life is changing for Duong for the better. |
Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
Each Rainbow Freedom Cart is given free of charge with the love of God through Jesus Christ. A brief message goes with each Rainbow Freedom Cart that it is the gift of Christians who haven't forgotten that a large part of Jesus' ministry was healing the sick and raising the lame. We want to share our time, talents, energy, and abundance to bring hope to those who would otherwise live in the dirt in despair. The faces you see are a testimony to the hope and dignity that the gift of a Rainbow Freedom Cart brings. |
Samuel Isaias Valenzuela Cantua (above) is 7 years old and lives with his family in Tierra Blanca, Sonora, Mexico. Samuel is disabled from a congenital neurological condition. His encephalopathy causes brain lesions resulting in periodic seizures. Despite this, Samuel is a very happy little boy and you can read on his face how thrilled he was to receive a Rainbow Freedom Cart from his Pastor, Enrique. Samuel is loved by his 5 siblings who help him with his schooling as best they can. They play together in their town of rolling hills and sometimes make trips to the nearby coast. Samuel loves to splash in the sea with his friends. With his increased mobility and exercise, Samuel will be able to explore more of his community. The more he pedals, the stronger he will become!
